On July 20, 2024, the Department of English at Annai Fathima College of Arts and Science organized a guest lecture on the topic "Nano Technology and its Impact on Human Life." The event was held in the Board Room at 10:30 am and was graced by Dr. Justin, the Head of the Physics Department, as the resource person. The lecture was attended by students from the Department of English.

Highlights of the Lecture

Dr. Justin delivered an insightful presentation covering various aspects of nanotechnology and its implications. The key topics discussed during the lecture included:

1. Framework of Nanotechnology in India: Dr. Justin provided an overview of the current status and future prospects of nanotechnology in India. He highlighted the government's initiatives and policies aimed at promoting research and development in this cutting-edge field.

2. Nano Science and Its Impact: The lecture delved into the fundamental principles of nano science and how it is revolutionizing various sectors. Dr. Justin explained how nanotechnology is enabling advancements in medicine, electronics, and environmental science.

3. Nanotechnology in Food and Textiles: One of the most engaging parts of the lecture was the discussion on the applications of nanotechnology in the food and textile industries. Dr. Justin described how nano materials are being used to improve food safety, enhance nutritional content, and create smart textiles with unique properties.

Orientation Programme for First Year Students

Annai Fathima College of Arts and Science welcomed its incoming students with enthusiasm and warmth during its orientation program held on July 15, 2024. The event commenced promptly at 9:30 AM in the college auditorium, marking the beginning of an exciting journey for the new cohort of students.

The program began with a heartfelt welcome address by Dean Dr. Muniyandi, who emphasized the college's commitment to academic excellence and holistic development. Dr. Natesapandiyan and Dr. Venila, Principal of the College of Education, graced the occasion with their presence and shared words of encouragement with the gathering.

Hon. M.S. Sha, Chairman and Hon. M.S.Shakeela Sha, CEO of the college presided over the event, underscoring the institution's dedication to nurturing future leaders and fostering a conducive learning environment. The presence of esteemed guest Dr. Rajiyakodi, former Registrar of Madurai Kamaraj University, added a special touch to the proceedings as he imparted valuable insights and advice to the students.

Faculty members from each department took the opportunity to introduce themselves, highlighting their areas of expertise and their commitment to supporting students in their academic pursuits.

The orientation program not only provided essential information about campus facilities, academic programs, and student services but also set the tone for a collaborative and enriching educational experience. Students left the event inspired and motivated, ready to embark on their academic journey at Annai Fathima College of Arts and Science.

அன்னை பாத்திமா கலை மற்றும் அறிவியல் கல்லூரியில் முதலாம் ஆண்டு மாணவர்களுக்கு நோக்குநிலை நிகழ்வு

அன்னை பாத்திமா கலை மற்றும் அறிவியல் கல்லூரியில் முதலாம் ஆண்டு மாணவர்களை வரவேற்கும் விதமாக  நோக்குநிலை நிகழ்வு  ஜூலை 15  2024 காலை 9:30 மணிக்கு கல்லூரி பல்நோக்கு கூட்டரங்கில் கல்லூரி ஒருங்கினணப்பாளர் முனைவர் போ.முனியாண்டி அவர்களின் வரவேற்புரையுடன் தொடங்கியது.அவர் கல்வித் திறன் மற்றும் முழுமையான வளர்ச்சிக்கான கல்லூரியின் அர்ப்பணிப்பை வலியுறுத்தினார். இந்நிகழ்வில்  கல்லூரி தற்காலிக முதல்வர் முனைவர் நடேசபாண்டியன் மற்றும் கல்வியியல் கல்லூரியின் முதல்வர்  வெண்ணிலா ஆகியோர் கலந்து கொண்டு விழாவை சிறப்பித்தனர். 

கல்லூரி தாளாளர் திருமிகு. எம்.எஸ்.ஷா அவர்கள் நிகழ்ச்சிக்கு தலைமை தாங்கினார் அவர் தமது உரையில் எதிர்கால தலைவர்களை வளர்ப்பதற்கும், கற்றல் சூழலை வளர்ப்பதற்கும் நிறுவனத்தின் அர்ப்பணிப்பை அடிக்கோடிட்டுக் காட்டினார். கல்லூரி பொருளாளர் திருமதி.ஷகிலா ஷா அவர்கள் வாழ்த்துரை வழங்கினார். அவர் தம் வாழ்த்துரையில் மாணவர்கள் கல்வி கற்றல் குறிக்கோளை மனதில் கொண்டு செயல்பட வேண்டும் என்றார்.

மதுரை காமராஜர் பல்கலைக் கழகத்தின் முன்னாள் பதிவாளர் மதிப்பிற்குரிய டாக்டர் ராஜியக்கொடி அவர்கள் சிறப்பு விருந்தினராக வருகை தந்திருந்தார். அவர் தமது சிறப்புரையில் மாணவர்களுக்கு மதிப்புமிக்க நுண்ணறிவுகளையும் ஆலோசனைகளையும் வழங்கியது நிகழ்ச்சிக்கு மகுடமாக சிறப்புச் சேர்த்தது. ஒவ்வொரு துறைப்பேராசிரியர்களும் தங்களை அறிமுகப்படுத்தினர். அவர்களின் நிபுணத்துவப் பகுதிகள் மற்றும் மாணவர்களின் கல்வித் தேடலில் அவர்களின் பங்களிப்பு மற்றும்  அவர்களின் அர்ப்பணிப்பு பற்றியும் எடுத்துரைத்தனர்.  நோக்குநிலைத் திட்டம் வளாக வசதிகள், கல்வித் திட்டங்கள் மற்றும் மாணவர் சேவைகள் பற்றிய அத்தியாவசிய தகவல்களை வழங்குவதோடு மட்டுமல்லாமல், கூட்டு மற்றும் வளமான கல்வி அனுபவத்திற்கான  நோக்கமும் அமைத்தது.

அன்னை பாத்திமா கலை மற்றும் அறிவியல் கல்லூரியில் தங்கள் கல்விப் பயணத்தைத் தொடங்கத் தயாரான நிலையில், மாணவர்களும் பெற்றோரும் உற்சாகத்துடனும் ஊக்கத்துடனும் பங்கேற்றனர். இந்த புதிய மாணவர்களை சமூகத்திற்கு அர்த்தமுள்ள பங்களிப்பை வழங்குவதற்கும், அவர்கள் தேர்ந்தெடுத்த துறைகளில் சிறந்து விளங்குவதற்கும் தகுதியான நபர்களாக உருவாக்க கல்லூரி எதிர்நோக்குகிறது.
